Genitourinary Agents
Genitourinary Agents are a class of drugs mainly used for the treatment of the urogenital system. The urogenital system is the general designation of urinary system and reproductive system. The reason why the two are combined is mainly that some diseases often involve both, such as sexually transmitted diseases, urinary tract infections, etc. Genitourinary tract infection is a common and frequently-occurring disease in humans, the incidence increased year by year. At present, quinolones and cephalosporins have become the treatment for urogenital tract infection and are more popular genitourinary agents.
