(±)-10-Hydroxycamptothecin(CAT: I020433), also known as 10-HCPT, is a natural product and a derivative of camptothecin. It is an important antineoplastic agent with potent cytotoxic activity against various cancer cell lines. 10-HCPT inhibits the activity of DNA topoisomerase I, an enzyme involved in DNA replication and transcription, leading to the accumulation of DNA damage and the inhibition of cancer cell growth. Due to its anticancer properties, 10-HCPT has been extensively studied for its potential use in cancer chemotherapy.
