1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (Cat No.:R059511) is a hydrophobic room temperature ionic liquid based on imidazole, which replaces organic solvents for enzymatic ester synthesis and other environmentally friendly reactions. It can also be used as a reaction medium, for example, in the presence of a new recyclable ruthenium carbene complex, the cyclically closed metathesis of diene and alkyne substrates, the allylation of aldehydes with tetraallyl stananes, and the preparation of homoallyl alcohol.
