1-Myristoyl-2-hydroxy-<em>sn</em>-glycero-3-PC is a saturated 14:0 lysophosphatidylcholine that consists of one chain of myristic acid (Item No. <span class=/itemid/>13351</span>) at the <em>sn</em>-1 position. It is formed in plasma by lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) and has a role in lipid signaling by acting on lysophospholipid receptors.
