1,1-Dichloro-1-(trifluoromethoxy)-2,2,2-trifluoroethane (Cat No.:C000954) is an organic compound. Commonly known as Halon 1211, it is a colorless, odorless gas and belongs to the halogenated hydrocarbon family. Halon 1211 was once widely used as a fire extinguishing agent due to its excellent fire suppression properties. However, its use has been restricted due to its ozone-depleting potential. As a result, alternative, more environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agents have been developed.
