Sonedenoson, also known as MRE0094, is an adenosine A2A receptor agonist, which can effectively promote rapid wound healing. By stimulating adenosine A2A receptor, Sonedenoson increases angiogenesis by down-regulating production of the antiangiogenic matrix protein thrombospondin 1.
