2-(Azido-PEG3-amido)-1,3-bis(NHS ester)(Cat No.:I015758)is a bifunctional chemical compound used in bioconjugation and drug delivery applications. It contains an azido group, which is reactive in click chemistry reactions (such as the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition), and an NHS ester group (N-hydroxysuccinimide ester), which readily reacts with primary amines to form stable amide bonds. The PEG3 chain (three ethylene glycol units) enhances solubility and biocompatibility. This compound is used for conjugating biomolecules like proteins or peptides to targets, as well as in developing drug conjugates for targeted therapies and diagnostic agents.
