A series of 2,5-<wbr></wbr>phenethylamines, collectively referred to as 2Cs, have psychoactive effects. The most effective 2C compounds are 2,5-<wbr></wbr>dimethoxy-<wbr></wbr>4-<wbr></wbr>substituted phenethylamines; many are regulated as illegal substances. 2C-<wbr></wbr>N is described formally as 2,5-<wbr></wbr>dimethoxy-<wbr></wbr>4-<wbr></wbr>nitrophenethylamine and is structurally analogous to the psychedelic drug 2C-<wbr></wbr>B. 2C-<wbr></wbr>N potently stimulates arachidonic acid release through the serotonin receptors 5-<wbr></wbr>HT2C (pEC50 = 5.91) and 5-<wbr></wbr>HT2A (pEC50 = 4.78). This product is intended for forensic and research applications.
