<p>It is a potent medium-lasting selective M<sub>2</sub> muscarinic receptor antagonist.</p><br />Cervane alkaloid<!–C<SUB>27</SUB>H<SUB>42</SUB>CINO<SUB>2</SUB>–>, derivative of Imperialine from the plant <I>Petilium eduardi</I>.</br><p><strong>3-beta-Chloro-Imperialine</strong>, a medium-lasting cholinoblocker of M<sub>2</sub> receptors, blocks M<sub>2</sub> receptors in the heart at 10 μg/kg (i.v.). <strong>3-beta-Chloro-Imperialine</strong>/’s activity is 10 times higher than that of Imperialine.</p></br>
