3’-Hydroxy-amiodarone Hydrochloride(CAT: C000219) is a metabolite of the drug Amiodarone Hydrochloride. Amiodarone Hydrochloride is a potent antiarrhythmic medication used to treat various types of irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias). It belongs to class III of antiarrhythmic drugs and works by blocking multiple ion channels involved in the generation of action potentials in cardiac cells, thus helping to maintain a normal heart rhythm. The hydroxylation of amiodarone leads to the formation of 3’-Hydroxy-amiodarone, which is one of its metabolites.
