3,3′-Dioctadecyloxacarbocyanine perchlorate (Cat.No: I013111), also known as DiOC18(3), is a lipophilic fluorescent dye used to stain cell membranes and lipid droplets. It is taken up by cells and selectively stains the plasma membrane, allowing for visualization of cell morphology and structure. DiOC18(3) has also been used to study mitochondrial membrane potential and cellular uptake mechanisms.
