6-Hydroxy-DL-DOPA (Cat.No:I011286), also known as Droxidopa, is a synthetic amino acid precursor that acts as a prodrug to increase the levels of norepinephrine in the body. It is used to treat orthostatic hypotension, a condition in which blood pressure drops upon standing up. It can also be used as a diagnostic tool for the detection of pheochromocytoma, a rare tumor that produces excess norepinephrine.
