6-Maleimidocaproic acid-PFP ester(Cat No.:I015711) is a bifunctional linker used in the synthesis of proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs). The linker consists of a maleimide moiety that reacts with cysteine residues of the target protein and a PFP ester that reacts with amino groups of the ligand. The alkyl chain in the linker provides the necessary flexibility for the ligand to bind to the target protein. 6-Maleimidocaproic acid-PFP ester has been used successfully in the development of PROTACs targeting a wide range of proteins implicated in cancer and other diseases.
