Acitretin（Cat No.:A000540）is a second-generation retinoid commonly used to treat severe psoriasis and other keratinization disorders. It works by regulating the proliferation and differentiation of skin cells, reducing excessive cell growth and promoting normal skin shedding. Acitretin modulates gene expression involved in skin cell turnover and inflammation, making it effective in reducing scaling, redness, and plaque formation. It is typically used in cases of severe psoriasis or in patients unresponsive to other treatments. Due to its teratogenic potential, acitretin requires careful monitoring during use, especially in women of childbearing age.
