AKB-6899(Cat No.:I021672) is a compound that promotes the stabilization of HIF-2α, a transcription factor involved in cellular response to low oxygen levels. This stabilization leads to the production of sVEGFR-1 (soluble vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1) by tumor-associated macrophages. The increase in sVEGFR-1 levels helps suppress tumor growth in a murine melanoma model. AKB-6899’s ability to modulate the HIF-2α pathway and manipulate the tumor microenvironment holds potential for the development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting angiogenesis and tumor progression.
