Allophycocyanin (Cat No.:I041215) is a highly fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae, commonly used as a fluorescent label in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications. It is part of the phycobiliprotein family and emits light in the far-red region of the spectrum (650–660 nm). APC is often conjugated to antibodies or other biomolecules to facilitate the detection and quantification of specific targets in cell populations, making it a valuable tool in immunology, cancer research, and molecular biology. Its bright fluorescence and low background interference make it ideal for multicolor flow cytometry.
