Allyl 2,2,2-Trifluoroethyl Ether (CAS 1524-54-5)  is used to prepare analogs of cyclitols and sugars. It is also used to prepare heteroaryl substituted propan-2-ols as metalloenzyme inhibitors useful in treatment of metalloenzyme-mediated diseases.
