Alpha-methyldopa (Cat.No:I021823) is a medication used to lower blood pressure in hypertension. It is an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that works by reducing sympathetic nervous system activity. It is also used in the treatment of preeclampsia, a serious complication during pregnancy that can cause high blood pressure and damage to organs. Alpha-methyldopa is available as an oral tablet.
