Amcasertib, also known as BBI503 (CAT: I000493), is a small molecule inhibitor of cancer stem cell pathway. It selectively targets and inhibits the protein kinase B lymphoid kinase (BLK) and Janus kinase 2 (JAK2), which are involved in signaling pathways associated with cancer stem cell self-renewal and tumor growth. By inhibiting these pathways, amcasertib has the potential to disrupt tumor growth, reduce cancer stem cell populations, and enhance the efficacy of conventional cancer treatments. It has been investigated as a therapeutic agent for various types of cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia, pancreatic cancer, and ovarian cancer.
