Amyl salicylate (Cat.No:I014123), also known as pentyl salicylate, is an organic ester used primarily as a fragrance in perfumes and cosmetics. It is synthesized by the reaction of salicylic acid with amyl alcohol. The compound has a pleasant, sweet, floral scent and is commonly used in floral fragrances, especially in jasmine and carnation fragrances. It is also used as a flavoring agent in certain foods and beverages.
