AZ876(CAT: I005380) is a novel and high-affinity agonist of liver X receptors (LXRs). LXRs are nuclear receptors that play a crucial role in regulating lipid metabolism, inflammation, and cholesterol homeostasis. AZ876 has been found to activate both human LXRα and LXRβ with high potency. In comparison to the widely used LXR agonist GW3965 (CAS number HY-10627), AZ876 demonstrates greater potency in its activation of human LXRα by approximately 25-fold and human LXRβ by approximately 2.5-fold.
