B591 is a specific pan-PI3K inhibitor with potent inhibitory activity against class I PI3K isoforms (IC50 values of 1.300, 0.364, 0.107 and 1.580 μM for PI3Kα, PI3Kβ, PI3Kβγ, PI3Kδ, respectively), which showed effective inhibition of cellular PI3K/mTOR signaling pathway and robust antitumor activity in a set of cancer cell lines.
