Molidustat(Cat No.:I000565), also known as BAY 85-3934, is a potent inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor proline hydroxylases (HIF-PHs). It exhibits inhibitory activity against PHD1, PHD2, and PHD3 enzymes with IC50 values of 480 nM, 280 nM, and 450 nM, respectively. By inhibiting HIF-PHs, solid-state stabilizes hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) and increases the production of erythropoietin (EPO), which stimulates red blood cell production. Molidustat is being investigated for its potential use in the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease.
