BCl-2 Inhibitor GX15-070(CAT: I012088) is a small molecule pan–Bcl-2 antagonist. It is capable of mimicking the action of BH3-only proteins by binding to multiple antiapoptotic Bcl-2 family members. GX15-070 has demonstrated the ability to overcome resistance mediated by Bcl-2, Bcl-xl, Bcl-w, and Mcl-1, which are proteins involved in inhibiting cell death. It interferes with the direct interaction between Mcl-1 and Bak within the outer mitochondrial membrane and inhibits the association between Mcl-1 and Bak in intact cells. This inhibition of Bcl-2 family interactions contributes to its potential as an anti-cancer therapeutic agent.
