Modafinil is the generic name of 2 – (diphenylmethylthionyl) acetamide. Diphenylbromomethane is also used as a reagent for the synthesis of O – (triazolyl) methyl carbamate, as a new and effective fatty acid amidhydrolase (FAAH) inhibitor.
