Bilobalide (Cat.No:I003219) is a major active constituent of Ginkgo biloba extract, a popular herbal supplement. It has been reported to have neuroprotective, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Bilobalide can cross the blood-brain barrier and has been shown to modulate neurotransmitter systems such as GABA, glutamate, and acetylcholine. It is being investigated for its potential use in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.
