Bis(tert-butyldioxyisopropyl)benzene (CAS 25155-25-3) is used as a free radical polymerization initiator.It initiates degradation of polypropylene, initiates polymerization and cross-links elastomers and olefins. It also acts as a synergist in halogen-containing fire retardant plastics.
