Bis-Tos-PEG6 is a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based linker commonly used in the synthesis of Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs). This linker contains two tosyl groups and a PEG chain consisting of six ethylene glycol units. Bis-Tos-PEG6 provides a flexible and hydrophilic spacer between the ligand and the E3 ubiquitin ligase recruiting moiety in PROTACs. The linker’s length and characteristics contribute to efficient target engagement, promoting the degradation of specific proteins of interest through the proteasome pathway. Bis-Tos-PEG6 is a valuable tool for designing and constructing PROTAC molecules with enhanced potency and selectivity.
