Bromo-PEG2-bromide is a PEG-based PROTAC linker commonly employed in the synthesis of proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs). This linker consists of a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain connected to two bromide groups. It serves as a spacer between the ligand targeting the protein of interest and the ligand recruiting an E3 ubiquitin ligase, facilitating the degradation of the target protein. Bromo-PEG2-bromide enables the covalent attachment of ligands, allowing the construction of PROTAC molecules with enhanced target specificity and cellular activity.
