Bromperidol (Cat.No:I000253), also known as Bromperidol decanoate, is a butyrophenone derivative and a highly potent antipsychotic drug. It acts as a dopamine receptor antagonist, primarily at the D2 receptor, and is used for the treatment of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. It has a long-acting form, decanoate, which is administered via intramuscular injection. Side effects may include extrapyramidal symptoms, tardive dyskinesia, and neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
