Bucetin (Cat.No:I000366), also known as phenbutazone, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the treatment of pain, fever, and inflammation. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain. Bucetin is particularly effective in treating arthritis and gout. However, it can also cause serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney damage, and liver toxicity. It is now rarely used due to the availability of safer alternatives.
