C-176(CAT: I019711) is a potent covalent inhibitor of mouse STING (stimulator of interferon genes). It strongly inhibits STING-mediated IFNβ reporter activity, specifically targeting the STING pathway and not affecting RIG-I- or TBK1-mediated activities. Treatment with C-176 significantly reduces the induction of serum levels of type I interferons (IFNs) and IL-6 mediated by cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP) synthase (cGAS)/STING-dependent pathway, indicating its ability to modulate the immune response. These findings suggest that C-176 may have potential applications in the study of immune signaling pathways and inflammatory diseases where STING activation is implicated.
