CA-5f(Cat No.:I019471) is a powerful inhibitor of late macroautophagy/autophagy that functions by suppressing the fusion of autophagosomes with lysosomes. By inhibiting this crucial step, CA-5f disrupts the degradation process within cells. As a result, it increases the levels of LC3B-II, a marker for monitoring autophagy, and SQSTM1 protein. This disruption also leads to the promotion of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production.
