CCI-006 (CAT: I019457) is a selective inhibitor and chemosensitizer specifically targeting MLL-rearranged leukemia cells. It exerts its effects by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration, leading to irreversible mitochondrial depolarization. This disruption of mitochondrial function triggers a pro-apoptotic unfolded protein response (UPR) in a specific subset of MLL-r leukemia cells. CCI-006 shows potential as a therapeutic agent for MLL-rearranged leukemia by selectively targeting and inducing apoptosis in these cancer cells.
