Chloro-sibutramine hydrochloride(CAT: C000100) is a chemical compound formerly used as a weight-loss medication under the name “sibutramine.” However, it has been withdrawn from the market due to safety concerns. Sibutramine acts as an appetite suppressant by affecting brain neurotransmitters and reducing food intake. Despite its initial purpose, it was associated with an elevated risk of cardiovascular side effects, such as heart attacks and strokes, leading to its discontinuation in multiple countries.
