Cl-amidine hydrochloride(Cat No.:I012709)is an orally active inhibitor of peptidyl arginine deiminase (PAD) enzymes, with potent inhibitory activity against PAD1, PAD3, and PAD4. It exhibits an IC50 value of 0.8μM for PAD1 and 6.2μM for both PAD3 and PAD4. Cl-amidine hydrochloride has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells and cause cell cycle arrest by upregulating miR-16. Additionally, it blocks histone 3 citrullination and neutrophil extracellular trap formation, leading to improved survival in septic mice.
