Clindamycin palmitate hydrochloride is a hydrochloride salt of the ester of clindamycin and palmitic acid and it is an antibacterial agent. Clindamycin palmitate hydrochloride is inactive in vitro, rapid in vivo hydrolysis converts this compound to the antibacterially active clindamycin[1].
