CMP, more formally known as 1-<wbr></wbr>(1’,4’-<wbr></wbr>cyclohexadienyl)-<wbr></wbr>2-<wbr></wbr>methyl aminopropane, is a major byproduct generated in the synthesis of methamphetamine from ephedrine or pseudoephedrine in the presence of ammonia and excess lithium.
