Crocidolite(Cat No.:M051438), also known as blue asbestos, is a type of asbestos that features fine, sharp fibers and a deep blue color. It is a fibrous form of the mineral riebeckite. Known for its high tensile strength and resistance to heat, crocidolite was historically used in cement products, insulation materials, and tiles. However, it is highly hazardous to health; inhaling its fibers can lead to serious diseases, including asbestosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma. Due to these severe health risks, the use of crocidolite has been largely banned or restricted in many countries.
