Cyanine3 azide chloride, an analog of Cy3 azide, is a potent green fluorescent dye. Cyanine3 azide chloride uses click chemistry coupled with Alkyne-labeled proteins. Cyanine3 azide chloride can be detected by fluorometers, imagers, and microscopes. (λex=684 nm, λem=710 nm)[1][2]>. Cyanine3 azide (chloride) is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. Strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) can also occur with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
