Cyanine5 alkyne (Cat No.: I025342) is a fluorescent dye derivative that combines the bright, far-red fluorescence properties of Cyanine5 (Cy5) with an alkyne functional group for bioorthogonal labeling. It is widely used in click chemistry, particularly copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC), for covalent attachment to azide-labeled biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, or lipids. With excitation/emission maxima around 650/670 nm, Cyanine5 alkyne enables sensitive detection in fluorescence imaging, flow cytometry, and molecular diagnostics, offering low background interference and compatibility with multiplexed fluorescent labeling.
