Cytarabine triphosphate trisodium (Cat No.: I040189)is the active, triphosphorylated form of cytarabine (Ara-C), an antimetabolite chemotherapy drug used primarily to treat leukemias. Once inside cells, cytarabine is converted to its triphosphate form, which incorporates into DNA during replication, inhibiting DNA polymerase and halting cell division. The trisodium salt improves solubility and stability for research applications. This compound is valuable for studying nucleoside analog mechanisms, DNA synthesis inhibition, and drug resistance in cancer cells, particularly in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) models.
