d-Atabrine Dihydrochloride(Cat No.:I020332), also known as quinacrine dihydrochloride, is a synthetic antimalarial agent with broad-spectrum activity against malaria parasites. Initially developed to combat malaria, it inhibits DNA and RNA synthesis, disrupting parasite replication. Beyond malaria, d-Atabrine Dihydrochloride has been explored for use in autoimmune disorders, such as lupus, and as an anti-protozoal for giardiasis. It has also shown potential in cancer research for its anticancer properties. Though largely replaced by newer antimalarials, it remains a valuable compound in pharmaceutical research for its diverse biological applications.
