<p>As a blocker of Ca<sup>2+</sup> release from sarcoplasmic reticulum it is a skeletal muscle relaxant.</p><br />Hydantoin derivative,<!–C<SUB>14</SUB>H<SUB>9</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB>NaO<SUB>5</SUB>–>synthetic.</br><p>It selectively inhibits the Ca-induced Ca<sup>2+</sup> release mechanism from sarcoplasmic reticulum in guinea pig skeletal muscle, only at physiological temperature (38 °C), under various conditions. (50 &mu;M at low temperature (20 °C) does not inhibit this mechanism).</p></br>
