DBeQ (Cat No.:I002305) is a small-molecule inhibitor that specifically targets the protein p97 ATPase, also known as valosin-containing protein (VCP). This compound acts by binding to the N-terminal domain of p97/VCP and inhibiting its ATPase activity. By blocking p97/VCP, DBeQ disrupts various cellular processes, including protein homeostasis, DNA repair, and cell cycle regulation. DBeQ has been studied for its potential therapeutic applications in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and viral infections. In cancer, DBeQ has shown promising antitumor activity, inducing cytotoxicity in cancer cells and sensitizing them to chemotherapy. Additionally, DBeQ has exhibited neuroprotective effects in models of neurodegenerative disorders and antiviral activity against certain viral pathogens.
