DIM-C-pPhOCH3 (CAT: I0203191) is a Nur77 agonist, targeting the orphan nuclear receptor nerve growth factor-induced Bα (NGFI-Bα, Nur77). In RKO colon cancer cells, DIM-C-pPhOCH3 induces apoptosis and decreases cell survival. It increases the expression of tumor necrosis factor–related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) protein and triggers several markers of apoptosis, including PARP cleavage and caspase activation. In animal studies, DIM-C-pPhOCH3 inhibits tumor growth in mice bearing RKO cell xenografts, leading to reduced tumor volumes and weights. These findings suggest that DIM-C-pPhOCH3 may have the potential as an anticancer agent.
