Dioctanoylglycol (Ethylene glycol dicaprylate), a diacylglycerol analog, is a diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) inhibitor (Ki of 58 μM)[1].
Dioctanoylglycol (Dioctanoylethylene glycol) inhibits diacylglycerol phosphorylation in platelets (70-100% at 100 μM) leading to a longer-lived diacylglycerol signal[1].
