Doxorubicin-SMCC (Cat No.:I006528) is a type of non-cleavable linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). ADCs are a class of biotherapeutic agents that combine the specificity of monoclonal antibodies with the cytotoxicity of small-molecule drugs. Dox-SMCC contains a doxorubicin molecule, a potent chemotherapeutic agent, covalently attached to a maleimide group that can be conjugated to a thiol-containing functional group of a monoclonal antibody. The non-cleavable linker allows for sustained release of the cytotoxic drug within the target cell, leading to enhanced efficacy and reduced toxicity compared to traditional chemotherapy.
