DS-1001b(CAT: I017783) is a mutant Isocitrate Dehydrogenase-1 (IDH-1) inhibitor. Mutations in the IDH-1 gene are commonly found in various types of cancer, including gliomas and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). These mutations result in a neomorphic enzyme activity that leads to the production of an oncometabolite called 2-hydroxyglutarate (2-HG), which contributes to tumorigenesis. DS-1001b is designed to target and inhibit the mutant IDH-1 enzyme, thereby reducing the production of 2-HG and potentially inhibiting cancer cell growth.
