eIF4E-IN-2 is a potent inhibitor of eukaryotic initiation factor 4e (eIF4e). eIF4E-IN-2 has the potential for researching eIF4e dependent diseases, including the research of cancer (extracted from patent WO2021003157A1, compound 1188)[1]. eIF4E-IN-2 is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
